Over six years ago, after receiving a diagnosis for two autoimmune diseases, The Conscious Glow Boutique's founder Laura began her journey for a cleaner way of living. After facing numerous health issues and symptoms, she was inspired to pursue an education in integrative nutrition and wellness. She received her certification as a holistic health coach from The Institute of Integrative Nutrition.


Laura began noticing life-changing improvements after shifting her eating and lifestyle habits, along with the products she used daily, switching everything to "cleaner" and safer alternatives. She also has a 10-year career in cosmetology in the conventional beauty world but now focuses and specializes in organic, non-toxic, cruelty-free, vegan, and eco-friendly beauty.
"My passion for a 'clean' lifestyle continues to grow, and while I still love makeup and being "glam," I'm extremely passionate about the environment as well. So, making sure that all products carried at the CGB contain 'clean' ingredients, sustainably sourced, and effective ingredients is extremely important! After realizing that I could still be both "glam" and eco-conscious, The Conscious Glow Boutique was born!"

Tell us about your brand! When did you launch, where are you headquartered, what moved you to start your business?
"The Conscious Glow Boutique launched in 2019, in Las Vegas, NV. We are online only and now located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I have a background in the conventional beauty space as a licensed cosmetologist. I got diagnosed with an autoimmune disease six years ago and quit my career in the conventional beauty space."

"I'd worked in hair salons, spas doing skincare, and ended my career doing professional makeup for weddings and events and was a master lash stylist doing lash extensions for over ten years. I ended up going back to school to become a certified holistic health and wellness coach, but when I was finished, I realized I missed the beauty space."


"I decided to combine all of my career and educational experience, and open up a cosmetics, skincare, and wellness boutique with products that were made with ingredients that were much safer for human use than the products I was used to in the conventional beauty space."

"Every brand and product retailed at is not only made with high quality, safe, non-toxic ingredients but is also 100% vegan and cruelty-free. I also have a huge passion for the environment and animals, so all products we carry must be made with ethically and sustainably sourced ingredients, as well as packaged in minimal or zero-waste packaging!"

What are some of your other favorite apps for increasing conversions?
"Privy, for the pop-up on my site to motivate potential customers to subscribe to my newsletter, and app for product reviews is also very helpful."

Any conversion-related problems you're experiencing? What other methods did you try to address those issues before using Fomo?
"Abandoned carts. We used an automatic email sent within a few hours to remind customers of products left in their cart."

How did you learn about Fomo? What prompted you to move forward with Fomo?
"The app store in Shopify. I loved the idea of potential customers seeing that people are buying from my site and can trust me/my website."

Do you have any changes you'd like to see made with Fomo? Any ideas for the team?
"None as of now. I love Fomo so far, to be honest."


Do you have any advice for other Fomo users?
"Be consistent, and your hard work will pay off. We all go through ups and downs, and most businesses are not a success overnight!"

"My conversion rate has gone up!"

What is one thing you want customers to take away from your business? What are you truly selling?
"I want customers to know that we carry cosmetics, skincare, and wellness products that are formulated with safe yet effective ingredients for themselves, safe for the environment, and the workers/employees who create the products we retail. You can have quality beauty and wellness products without harmful side effects to your health and the environment."

"Plus, we have brands that give back to communities, as well as paying employees fairly! That is the goal of every brand and product sold on my website. Customer health and the environment in mind is always our #1 goal."
