Canada Drone's Bounce Rate Is Down 40%
Canada Drone offers high-quality drones, drone parts, and accessories to customers throughout the world.
Their site features drone safety videos, tips for pilots, and Canada-specific information that residents need to know for operating them.
“Here at Canada-drone.ca, we are working hard at growing our business, one satisfied customer at a time.”
“We are an authorized DJI Dealer offering a growing assortment of consumer drones as well as toy/hobby and certified pre-owned drones. We sell parts and accessories for most of the drones we carry and can source just about any part our customers need.”
Canada Drone differentiates themselves from their competition by offering a one-of-a-kind online shopping experience and best-in-class customer service.
“We ask our customers to give us feedback on our site, our assortment, and tell us what they’d like to see us carry. We love to hear from them! We wish them happy shopping and happy flying!”
Tell us about your brand! When did you launch, where are you headquartered, what moved you to start your business?
“We are Canada Drone, based in Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada (just north of Toronto). We started out selling used drones on eBay, and after some success, we moved to Shopify.”
“We love drones and wanted to help others share in the joy of this great hobby while doing something we enjoyed ourselves.”
What are some of your other favorite apps for increasing conversions?
“Well, Fomo, of course. I also like the shipping estimator, which allows users to check their shipping costs without having to go through the full checkout info process.”
“We recently started using 'Route' as well and believe this will provide peace of mind to our customers, along with a great tracking setup. We are heavily reliant on Google Ads as well.”
Outline a couple of specific conversion-related problems you’re experiencing.
“I see a lot of add-to-carts that don’t end up being conversions. Abandoned carts are somewhat of a problem, of course, and we’re experimenting with a discount code in our recovery email.”
What other methods did you try to address those issues before using Fomo?
“We’ve done some website optimization with the help of third parties, with some success in improving conversion rates.”
How did you learn about Fomo?
“I can’t remember!”
What prompted you to move forward with Fomo?
“I think the concept makes great sense, making visitors feel like they are in a busy store shows users that other people are spending money here, so it must be 'safe' to do so.”
Have you tried any of our competitors? If so, why did you choose Fomo instead?
“No.”
How are you tracking Fomo conversions?
“Via the Fomo Dashboard and weekly emails.”
Would you mind sharing some of the quantifiable ROI results that demonstrate how using Fomo has benefited your business?
“Hmmm. I don’t think I can provide anything quantifiable as we started using Fomo very early after launch. I know I sincerely would not want to run the site without it, though.”
Do you have any changes you’d like to see made with Fomo? Any ideas for the team?
“I’d like to see more options for colour, font, shape, placement, etc. Basically, making it more customizable to align with the store’s theme.”
Any other stats you’re proud to share?
“We’ve tripled our conversion rate in the past month thanks to some great work done to our site by a third party (the big change, I believe, resulted from the placement of customer testimonials right on the home page).”
“Our sales have grown at about 10-20% per month since we launched in March. Our average order value is about $350. Bounce rate now down around 40%.”
What is one thing you want customers to take away from your business? What are you truly selling?
“We are selling great customer care. We ship fast. We answer emails fast. We solve problems fast and with empathy for our customers.”
“This is how we want to grow our business. With a reputation for being very customer-centric in a way that customers appreciate and can count on.”
